"This bag is plenty deep enough to carry what you pack. The zippers and snaps are sturdy and so are the wheels! I love that you can switch it to a backpack for those special situations. The only drawback is there aren't more dividers and zippered sections for organizing like items within the main compartment. Overall, I highly recommend it as a carry on!"
Just got back from Italy
"Just got back from Italy with its first use and I am very satisfied. The backpack function was particularly useful when dealing with cobble roads in Europe. The bag is built solidly. Would be nice if the weight is trimmed off a little. A 4-wheel design will certainly work better thru narrow passages, which is something to consider for future upgrades."
The bag is excellent, but….
"The Gear is a very good bag. Unfortunately it was not exactly the trip requirements for the safari. I felt the light color would get dirty and be hard to clean. The design is good for a few days on the road. I’m going to buy the larger version in a different color"
Great bag - often a life saver.
"Ok, had for a while now. . . around the world. . at least once. Overall. . a great bag. well made. . what the previous said about the cinch straps are correct. . . and the "squareness" of packing - many pockets to put stuff in. . I have the convertible. . and although rarely used. . . when needed it is a life saver. . . was in the Bangkok earthquake this year. . . strapped it on my back to hike down 22 floors. . . but as a carry on. . it is not as much the volume nowadays'; but the weight. . . airlines all different. . ."
Quality Bag but a few design flaws
"The bag is extremely durable and well made. The pockets and storage space are well thought out and functional. However, the main/front opening is too small (it doesn't span the entire side,) this results in the zipper being pulled at at an angle making it very difficult to close when full. In addition the cinch straps don't really compress the bag due to the combination of overall stiffsides and the oddly small front opening."
Old Gear Warrior going strong
"I have an old Gear Warrior--purchased in 2018--that has been on tons of trips with me and is still going strong. The pull up handle on mine is a one stick version, I had some questions for customer service about it holding the weight of a loaded backpack, and they were so helpful. If I ever need a new bag, this is what I will purchase based on my experiences. The wheels on my old bag are exceptional even on cobblestones. I cannot say enough about this company. I am including a photo of my wonderful, old bag--it will be going to Italy with me in a couple of weeks."
